Setting Myself Apart from the Pack
When I started this blog I had a decision to make – do I want to keep it strictly boudoir photos like every other photographer was doing or do I want to offer insights into my personal life as well as styling ideas? I decided to offer a little bit of everything. The reason for this was that I wanted to show a glimpse of who I am on my blog. I think the relationship between photographer and client is so important so I wanted you to be able to get to know me a little better before choosing me to do your intimate photos. I also wanted to be able to give you enough tips to have a successful shoot, whether you come to me or ultimately decide on another photographer. It is my love for Boudoir that made me do it. 
So, dear readers, do you enjoy my blog entries that offer advice, style ideas or a look into my personal life? It was a hard decision to make since other photographers were sticking strictly to just their boudoir shoots, but that meant they weren’t updating regularly. Although I am starting to notice other boudoir photographers are starting to offer more advice etc too all of a sudden. I personally, liked setting myself apart from the pack and hope that you do too, so I can continue to post things that I think are of value to those considering a boudoir shoot.
You also may have noticed that I decided to go against the grain when it came time to design my website. I didn’t go with the standard photography template that you see others using. Again, a tough decision, but I think it was a good one. What do you think?
Sizzling Hot Boudoir Shoot
Imagine my surprise when I go to meet my ‘Ginger‘ client in the hotel lobby and it is someone I actually once knew! That is exactly what happened when Ms J arrived for her photo session. I recognized her instantly even though she had a different hairstyle, which was incredibly stylish and sexy and she had her makeup professionally done. Wow! She looked gorgeous! In fact, I had to rescue her from another photographer who was trying to persuade her to join him for some sort of bikini shoot!
Ms J decided to have boudoir pics done for her anniversary. She had originally wanted to do an album, but due to time constraints decided on a fun calendar instead. Every month for the next year her lucky hubby is going to get to look at another gorgeous image of his beautiful wife!
It was great seeing you again ‘J’! I had a blast hanging out with you during your shoot! Hope you had a very happy anniversary!

Do Dreams Really Come True?
I feel so fortunate. While building a new business is hard work and can be slow-going at times, I feel rewarded on a daily basis at having found my calling. Not only do I get to work with the most unbelievable clients, beautiful women who inspire me on a creative and personal level, but I also work with a team of amazing beauty professionals who are a pleasure to be around. But something I didn’t expect was recognition from other photographers in my field!
Today I got the sweetest note from another photographer I admire and respect, Holly McCaig.
“Hey Stacie! I follow you on Twitter and must say, I LOVE what you are doing! I have shot some boudoir in the past, but am now focusing my efforts on weddings/engagements and am going to include boudoir with it. I have a few models coming Sunday to do a shoot to build up the portfolio at a beautiful suite in downtown St. Louis. Anyway, I just wanted to personally tell you how inspiring you are! Keep it up!!!

Mrs K’s Vegas Boudoir Shoot – WOWZERS!
Mrs K came from Los Angeles to work on her modeling portfolio by having me do an extended shoot for her. We had so much fun with her photo session that it felt like she was an old friend! She is really an amazing woman…not only is she an unbelievably gorgeous girl who models, but she is super smart, incredibly funny and is going to school to become a Physician’s Assistant! Way to go Mrs K!

Here’s an idea for displaying your photos from your boudoir session….an Art Print! An art print includes 3 images total, one horizontal and 2 vertical or you could go with 4 vertical images instead. Looks amazing framed and printed on a metallic finish.

Miss Eve, Pin-up Style!
I had such a good time with Eve’s photoshoot last month. Eve came prepared with lots of personality, which I think really shows in her photos below. She’s also a fan of Top Model…that might have helped with her posing confidence!
I had to wait so long to post these because she was giving them as a birthday gift for her boyfriend. Eve chose to give him a calendar, which is so perfect for these types of images. She also ordered some prints which look incredible with the metallic finish.

On set at Victoria’s Secret Photo Shoot – Teen Vogue
I love how the Victoria’s Secret model talks about how some acting is involved when modeling. Never be afraid during a photo shoot to visualize and act as if you are more confident than you are…or bring out the flirty side even if it’s only directed at my camera! It might feel a little silly at first, but it helps capture the different sides of you. And my camera adores you anyway, so it’s ok to bring on the personality…really!

Vegas Boudoir Suite Shoot – Mrs A
Mrs A was planning a trip to Vegas with her husband who was coming to town for a business trip and decided it might be fun to schedule a boudoir shoot with me while her husband was away at his conference. I couldn’t agree more! What a unique and fun thing to do while in Vegas!
I arrived at Mrs A’s suite with Kat and Whitney of Hera Beauty who did an amazing job with her hair and makeup!
Mrs A was one of the most delightful individuals I have ever come across. She had a way about her that made everyone around her light up and she was absolutely GORGEOUS! She had true southern charm and the sweetest accent! Thanks Mrs A for a fun, girly afternoon!
