Sexy Soirée Boudoir Workshop Model

Where do I even begin with the beautiful woman featured in this post? I feel like my life pretty much started with her actually! While I was growing up, my Mom and I moved almost every year or two during my schooling. The longest amount of time I spent at any school was for 3 whole years at Vail Pittman Elementary School (here in Las Vegas) during the 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades. I feel like I was able to make my closest friends there in all of my years in schooling because of this. I was particularly close with a group of 3 other girls, whom I have mentioned before as the Fighting Foxes. Our friendships carry on to this very day, although as adults we all have such busy lives that I don’t get to see them nearly as much as I’d like to.

So, when my friend Corinna told me she needed updated images for a Playmate event, I hopped on the chance to spend more time with this amazing person I am fortunate enough to call my good friend. Corinna has a heart of gold. She is literally one of the sweetest, kindest and funniest individuals I have ever met.

During our shoot, we danced, laughed and had the absolute time of our lives! We were both in awe over how both of our lives had ended up exceeding all of our childhood dreams. Never would we have imagined that I would become a boudoir photographer, and, hello?…who would have known she would go on to become Playboy’s Playmate of the Year?

Corinna has very kindly agreed to be one of our models for the upcoming Sexy Soirée Boudoir Workshop that Robert and I are teaching next month! This is actually a really big deal, as there is no way she would have done this if she were not such a great friend to me…it’s on her birthday, for crying out loud! She is such a good sport! One of our other fabulous Fighting Foxes will be modeling for us too. She is also a knockout, as you can see right here.

I love you Corinna! We are going to have so much fun again! It will be just like old times like the picture below! Hmm…on second thought, it will be even better! xoxo

For the Girls | Las Vegas Boudoir

This post is specifically for the ladies. I normally shoot my boudoir sessions with the end audience in my mind…the husband. My aim for that is moody, dramatic and super sexy. For this shoot, though, the audience was the gorgeous gal pictured here, so I wanted to go extra feminine with these and utilized the luscious light. Hope you all enjoy these!

My Favorite Kind of Client | Las Vegas Boudoir

You know you are behind on blogging when you get a repeat client that tells you they still haven’t seen their images on your blog that you took almost a year ago! Oh my, I am behind! Honestly, when I am super busy with shoots and orders, I have a tendency to not update the blog as much as I should and because it’s been such a busy year, I still have tons of shoots to blog!

So, in honor of my repeat client who reminded me of this, here are Mrs. L’s beautiful images from her boudoir session with me last January. Mrs. L has to be every man’s dream girl. She has the face of an angel and a body that just doesn’t quit! Her beauty doesn’t stop on the outside either, it just radiates from within. She is just as sweet as can be!

When I received an email from Mrs. L in response to our Holiday Special saying she wanted in on it, I was absolutely thrilled! My gorgeous Montana client was coming back to do another shoot with me! I love repeat clients and always hope that all of my girls will do yearly shoots with me, if anything, just to get to hang out again and celebrate them all over again! This is exactly why we are going to be offering studio specials, in fact! I can’t wait to show you Mrs. L’s images from her second session! I’ll try my best to show them before a whole year has passed, I promise!

Mrs. G was an absolute doll! She was yet another one of those gals who entertained us nonstop with her incredible stories. She had us giggling while she was being pampered while having her hair and makeup done but once the camera was on her, she turned into a sultry vixen. I was so impressed by her!

Whole Lotta Love | Las Vegas Boudoir

Elegant and refined. Stunningly beautiful with the longest legs, sultry blonde hair, pretty blue eyes and a body that just won’t quit. She’s a rocker at heart with wild blood running through her veins. Her grandmother was a burlesque dancer! Isn’t that the coolest?! That must be where she gets her beauty and grace. She loves bands like Led Zeppelin and is an avid reader and is also a fan of my favorite lingerie brand Agent Provocateur!

Obviously, I loved this girl right from the beginning when we began plotting and planning her shoot. One of my favorite parts of each shoot is getting to know my clients and learning what makes them tick. I love getting to know what makes each of you unique and special. She was no exception. She was witty and articulate and ended up being so much fun!

Thank you to Ms. S, a past client of mine for sending this stunner my way! You both are such class acts! xoxo

Vegas Vacation | Las Vegas Boudoir

Mrs E contacted me to do a boudoir shoot when she was in the planning stages of the very first vacation that she and her husband had ever been able to take together. They were head over heels in love with each other and a real wedding and honeymoon just wasn’t in their plans years ago so they had every intention of really living it up while in Las Vegas. Mrs. E told me, “The Haute Shots boudoir session was the one thing I REALLY wanted to do. Forget gambling!” My kind of girl! I knew we were going to have a splendid time getting to know each other during her time with me. And, to honor the deep bond between her and her husband, I let her awesome hubby come up at the end of her session for a few shots together. I’m such a sucker for true love!

Thanks Mrs. E for a wonderful session! I had the best time with you! And thank you for giving me permission to share your images.

Caretaker | Las Vegas Boudoir

Women are accustomed to looking after so many others in our lives, as it’s in our nature to be nurturing, but Ms. W is exceptionally caring. I was so impressed with her and thrilled that there are people in our world like her who go above and beyond to help others in need. She has a heart of gold and is as sweet (and pretty!) as can be. I’m happy she took the time to do something caring for herself and the love in her life by doing a boudoir session with me!

Southern Girl | Las Vegas Boudoir

Really getting back to my Texan roots lately with so many clients flying in from my birth state (Texas) and doing shoots with me! I think there were about 4 Texas beauties within a week and a half! They actually made me miss living there a bit. You girls were all so sweet and fun to be around!

boudoir-vegas

Mrs. B was one of those gorgeous southern girls who came as a referral from yet another client from Texas! She did her boudoir session while her husband was busy during the day with a convention for work. She won me over instantly with her gentle and calming demeanor and it felt like I had known her forever. Super easy to work with, she was a true classic beauty with legs for miles! Yet she was unaffected by her own beauty which I found completely endearing.

A Beautiful Smile | Las Vegas Boudoir

I always say I have the best clients and while I am sure others say that too, I really believe it’s true in my case! My clients are more than just ‘clients’, they actually become friends! Working with them so closely, we learn a lot about each other in a short amount of time and I end up genuinely caring about each and every one of them!

boudoir-11

Mrs. B was no exception. She scheduled her shoot with me for when she was coming into town all the way from Washington. She had the most amazing stories that kept Hera Beauty and me completely fascinated during her time with us. We all adored her quick wit and no-nonsense attitude. Her smile reminded me of Jessica Biel…it just lit up the room! Oh, and did I mention she is a fellow photographer? I felt so flattered that she chose me to do her her boudoir session!

boudoir-21

Thank you Mrs. B for such a fabulous photo session! You are truly an amazing woman! And thank you for allowing me to share your pretty images here! You rock!

For Other Photographers | Las Vegas Boudoir

I am head over heels in love with photography and absolutely adore running my own business. Both of these things bring me ridiculous amounts of joy that I feel so very grateful for every single day. My life was never easy and it was a long, hard road getting here, but persistence, honesty and hope brought me to the point I’m at now. I worked very, very hard to get here. I realize there are no shortcuts in life. But persistence definitely pays off and it begins to feel like life rewards you for persevering through the trials that lead you to your calling.

Unfortunately, there is an ugly side to running a photography business too. I am consistently shocked at how shady some people are by stealing images, copy from my website and even stealing my hard-earned client testimonials. You also get some who try to acquire your price list by acting like a potential client and even some who go as far as sending a ‘faux client’ to get the inside scoop on my business. I just don’t understand why people feel the need to do this.

Running your own business, especially a creative one such as Photography should be a fun and unique experience. You should have enough photos that you are proud of (that you have taken on your own) to use in your portfolio if you are promoting yourself as a professional photographer. And you should feel passionate enough about what you do that words just flow naturally when describing your business on your website and to others. And, if you are doing a job well done, testimonials will come naturally, and often! Testimonials are a reward for your hard work. Just let them come to you. Most of all, remember to be an original! People don’t want to hire a person trying to be someone else. They want to hire YOU, (yes YOU) if you will allow yourself to shine genuinely for everyone to see. And, if these things just aren’t there for you yet, then just keep photography as a hobby until you are more ready. Nothing wrong with that at all!

So, in trying to think of a solution for all of this, I realize that maybe I could possibly help those of you who feel stuck and might be contemplating doing something unethical as I spoke of above. I get a lot of requests to offer workshops. Is this something many more of you would want? Would you rather I write a book? Or make myself available for mentoring?

I really just want to see everyone reach their own potential, which is unique for all of us. I definitely don’t want to see our industry going down the tube because of a few bad apples either.

So, please tell me, how can I help you?

WPPI Recap 2011 | Las Vegas Boudoir

I am still reeling from the excitement of this past week! I learned so much, met so many amazing people (Jerry Ghionis & Robert Evans!!! – to name only a few), and was going nonstop from about 5am till 2am most days that I am having a hard time wrapping my head around it all. WPPI filled me with so much knowledge, ideas and insights even though I couldn’t attend half of what I had originally thought I could. There was just too much going on!

blog-booth
A few highlights:

• Having my image featured on products at a vendor booth to highlight their new presentation boxes (see image above – taken with my iPhone)! This was such an honor to have my work selected for this, recognized and showcased this way!

• Getting to know some of my vendors at the parties! I truly work with the best of the best! This was absolutely reaffirmed when I got to know them personally

• Spending time with my fellow boudoir photographer peers from forums. We are all so lucky to get to do what we do, aren’t we? It was very important to me to make sure to spend time with these gals. Glad I was able to find the time to do it!

• Getting to know some local photographers in different niches. I see the importance of networking with you all and helping each other grow. For this, I am very grateful.

• Finding amazing new products to offer! Oh my goodness, hold on to your seats everyone…I can’t wait to get some new samples to show you!

• Learning, learning, learning….from the technical side to the business side of photography, I gained so much knowledge!

• My favorite classes were by Brian Smith and Jose Villa! Both so inspiring and informative!

• I also enjoyed the Women in Contemporary Photography panel discussion!

With all of that said, be sure to watch for some big changes to be coming soon for Haute Shots! My aim has always been to provide you with the best experience possible but it’s about to get even better!!

Glad to be back in the office. Time to play major catch-up now!

Getting Ready for WPPI 2011 | Las Vegas Boudoir

Tomorrow begins the delightful madness known to us photographers as WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International Conference and Tradeshow). As you can see from my previous post about WPPI 2010, it is going to be one of the most inspiring, educational and insanely fun events of the year for me. I feel like a kid at Christmas, seriously!

I told myself last year that I would narrow down the classes I am taking before the actual event but this is proving more difficult than I thought. There are going to be so many truly amazing speakers again this year! So far, I am leaning towards learning from Jesh de Rox (can’t wait to experience his Beloved Revolution – I hear his talk last year was so good that it brought many to tears), Julieanne Kost (digital imaging evangelist), Brian Smith (celebrity portrait photographer), Jose Villa (fine art wedding photographer), Sandy Puc (portraits) & Jerry Ghionis, (wedding photographer). There are many others I want to see speak too. I will also be attending the Airplanes & Blazers party (here’s a video from their Airhorns & Lasers party last year)…woohoo! That is just a very brief overview of a tiny portion of the events that will be going on. Oh my goodness, I almost forgot that I get to see fashion photographer NIGEL BARKER – you may recognize him as the ridiculously good-looking photographer from America’s Next Top Model! He is hosting the Sony Fashion Show on Sunday night! I’m sooo excited!

If you are a photographer reading this and you happen to see me at WPPI this year, please come say hi! It’s a much more interesting place when you get to know everyone! I know I am looking forward to seeing the awesome people I met there last year, as well as meeting many, many new friends!

Bangs Before Botox | Las Vegas Boudoir

Well, after an overwhelming vote on facebook in favor of me getting bangs, I went and did it! What do you think?

stacie-bangs

Seriously, I am not enjoying aging one little bit and figured I would try getting bangs again since they are so youthful looking instead of getting botox. I am an overly expressive person and am starting to show lines on my forehead because of this. And, bangs are fantastic at hiding that! I still might try botox one of these days, but most likely I will be trying it for help with migraines instead of aging.

Special thanks to Jackie at Michael Boychuck’s COLOR Salon for not only talking me through my fear of getting bangs, but for doing such a great job! xoxo

P.S. Jennifer Aniston just got bangs too! They look gorgeous on her! See her new bangs here.

Bangs Poll | Las Vegas Boudoir

Alrightie, so I have a hair appointment on Thursday morning and I am considering getting bangs. I feel like I need some sort of change with this being a fresh new year and all, but I’m completely undecided. I need your help. I would love to get your opinion on whether you think I should just go for it or not. Here are two pics of me…one is current with no bangs and the other is old with bangs.I have a rather difficult time with change when it comes to my appearance but I feel like my hair is looking a little blah the way it is now. Hmmm…what to do…

What is your vote? Yes on bangs or no???

What’s Sexy Now Series | Las Vegas Boudoir

whatssexynow11

This installment of What’s Sexy Now features a fabulous friend from childhood of mine, Corinna Harney-Jones. Corinna is one of the infamous Fighting Foxes, our exclusive, childhood girls-only club of four (Corinna, Shawna, Jennifer and me). But Corinna is also an amazing actress, children’s acting teacher, was Playmate of the Year for Playboy, and is a wonderful wife and mother to a beautiful daughter. You may remember Corinna from this blog post awhile back.

Please join me in welcoming Corinna back to the Haute Shots blog!

  • What makes a woman sexy?

I think what makes a woman exude sexiness is all within. Poise, self esteem, (without arrogance of course). The sexiest women I know are completely content with who they truly are as a person. Usually putting others above themselves (mother’s, caretakers, girlfriends, teachers, professionals in a myriad of fields), yet not forgetting about what makes them happy. They have a freedom of expression all their own, and become almost flirtatious with it- because of their own inner happiness. There is power in a woman’s sexuality- and sexuality comes from being genuinely who you are. No pretenses… just confidence with a blend of that perfect humility and poise…

  • Famous female that most embodies sexy to you:

One person who immediately pops into my head is Meryl Streep. In every role she plays she brings this certain sexiness as described in my idea of “What makes a woman sexy”. Being an actress myself, I know that you must bring your own essence to each character. She does this so well and does not disappoint, in every character I’ve ever seen her play. And age has nothing to do with sexiness, contrary to what many believe. If you are a woman and you truly are happy with the person you are, your genuine self, you will be sexy until the day you die… whoever you are.

  • meryl-streep-w-magazine

  • Favorite sexy film or literature (or both):

I am not a big reader of novels… I do however love a good “self help” book. One of my favorites is “Mama Gina’s School of Womanly Arts”. It’s a whimsical, fun and adorable book that helps women to pretty much “get their sexy on” – doesn’t matter what you weigh or again, how old you are. Say it with me, “If you are female, you are desirable”… (not that males aren’t) but femininity is something to be celebrated. On that note, a film that just surfaced to memory is “Two Moon Junction”… a semi “B” film, yet something about that film got me fired up when I was only a teen! Most recently, a film that I ADORE is “Leap Year”- very sexy. And, to me romance is what is the sexiest thing of all. I LOVE romantic movies!!! From something as adorable as “enchanted” to something as deep and raw as “Officer and a Gentleman”, I also LOVE “Sense and Sensibility” and “Gone with the Wind”… “Bridges Over Madison County”, “It’s Complicated”, so many black and white films – too many for me to list… “Pitcher and the Pin Up” (ha! I just had to say that!).

    book-movies

  • Song or Album that never fails to put you in a sexy mood:

Jazz does it for me – especially Brazilian Jazz. The sexiest album of all time for me is Sarah Tavares “Balance” – just amazing. Her voice transports me to Rio and in the arms of my red hot lover (who happens to be my husband of course). But there are a few sides to me, so it depends on my mood. I absolutely LOVE George Straight and the country girl in me can get in a sexy mood just by hearing that man. Truly too many sexy songs to list. But on my wilder carnal side – I cannot help but be a bit turned on by Kings of Leon, and I admit it, damn it!

  • Fashion trend, item or designer collection that you find sexy:

I have very eclectic taste, but I have always loved vintage inspired clothing. I love true vintage clothes and coats. Right now being winter I imagine something with a 20’s-40’s flair, fitted like a dress, with pleats and an hour-glass shape. Adorable detailed buttons down the front. Wool, but lined with an amazingly soft satin lining. Warm but elegant. With a pair of Casadei 5096 Platform pumps. Maybe a tiny simple cocktail dress underneath, and the perfect shade of deep satin garnet lipstick, Nars Afghan Red.

    casidie

  • Sexy destination:

I think these days with all the running around and busyness in my life- the sexiest destination for me would be anywhere I can wind down and RELAX. Right now I really long to sit on a beach somewhere, anywhere. Rio, Hawaii, California! But I also love the warmth of a cabin with a fire inside when the cold is outside. Recently my husband and I went up to the Mt. Charleston Lodge just to get away. We have also enjoyed some amazing places, like a Hotel in Beaver Creek, right up the road from Vail, Colorado… at both of these places- the snow outside makes it so cozy, and to me, nothing is sexier than being with the person you love snuggled up in front of a fire with a glass of red wine… (Cliché? I don’t care- makes me feel
AMAZING) Wherever the destination is, and even when I’m alone- I bring my sexy with me.

  • What makes you feel sexy?

Hmmm? I think I feel the sexiest when I have been eating right and working out in general. But when I’m well rested and am wearing something I really feel good in, this is when I feel the sexiest. And whenever I feel good, it seems that this is when I get the most complements, and compliments always make me feel sexy! I am blessed to have a husband who is constantly telling me that I am the most beautiful woman in the world. However, he could tell me this until he’s blue in the face-and I don’t believe him. But there are times when his words penetrate and I look in the mirror and think, “hey, I am sexy”. On a side note: I feel sexy when I am in the water for some reason? I always say I’m a mermaid (don’t worry- no delusions here – I know that I am not a mermaid and that they do not exist)… but when I think about it – I feel sexiest when I’m swimming, or in a Jacuzzi. It may sound ridiculous,  but it’s true. On a houseboat on a lake or on a yacht in the pacific, or just laying on  the beach. It might be the warm sun, or the way the water feels? But to me- it makes me feel sexy. I also feel sexy when I feel good about myself. Like after I’ve accomplished a goal I’ve set out to do… I think powerful women are very sexy.

    About little about me (Corinna):

I started a production company, Ishah Productions, LLC. with two amazing women. One of them has a ranch in Colorado and the other lives just outside of L.A. Ishah in the Hebrew means “Woman” it is femininity defined. Ishah is the first woman created by God. And so we chose that as our company’s title. We are currently working on a documentary about an amazing woman named Darlene Rose. She was the first white woman (a Christian Missionary) to penetrate the interior of New Guinea and live among cannibals. She was taken POW when the Japanese encroached on the Island and took her and many others to the infamous “work/death camps”. The things she endured are unimaginable. It’s a true story of courage and hope in the face of adversity and hardship. We are also working on the feature film. We hope that this story will inspire and encourage everyone who sees it.

I am also an acting teacher and private coach. I enjoy teaching and training children in the craft of acting. I cover everything from basic improvisational skills to auditioning and on-camera techniques. The name of the acting academy where I teach is “Hollywood Bound”. Fiery Redhead for One Night Only | Las Vegas Boudoir

Since I began photographing boudoir I always take notice of how hair color photographs. While blonde hair really catches more light, reds in my opinion look simply amazing! There is something so pretty and dramatic about that hair color. Honestly, I always hated it growing up, since I had auburn hair and it’s the most made fun of color for a child. But I have since changed my mind about it and decided to give it another try the other night by wearing a red wig for Halloween. I loved it! I have never felt sexier! I am now a brunette (I do love brown hair!) but have also tried blonde in my younger years and I have to say it’s redheads that have the most fun! And according to this article they also have more – ummm – let’s just say ‘passion’?!

Halloween was such a blast! It was a very last minute decision to even dress up since we had friends who decided to come to Vegas spontaneously to celebrate this fun holiday. I finally talked my boyfriend Joe into dressing as one of the characters of Gilligan’s Island so I could dress as Ginger. It tied in nicely with my Ginger & Mary Ann packages, afterall! Joe was such a good sport though – he decided to go as Gilligan! Gilligan never looked hotter!

I really thought these would be easy ‘costumes’ to find. The day of the festivities we ventured out to acquire our outfits. We were literally out all day in search of these things and made do with what little we could find. Poor Joe had to spray paint the hat he found after failed attempts to bleach it white turned it PINK! I was worried about him going up into flames all night!  Thankfully we never had to use a fire extinguisher on him! The Ginger wig was almost impossible to find too. The one I ended up using wasn’t exactly what I had in mind but it worked just fine. Although after seeing these pics (below) I wish someone would have told me it was slipping off! The bangs, which were my favorite part, were supposed to be much lower on my forehead! I am seriously considering adding bangs to my hair after this though!

Thanks to all of our friends for a fabulous night! It was so great to see you all!

Did you all have a nice Halloween? What did you dress as this year?

Tea Lover | Las Vegas Boudoir

picture-12

I subscribe to Rachel Zoe’s newsletter for fashion inspiration but sometimes she showcases other things of interest. For instance today she introduced me to a loose leaf tea company that I had never heard of before now…Adagio. You can create your own blends of tea there! They look super yummy! I went ahead and made my own. I always drink energizing teas but had nothing to drink at night that wouldn’t keep me up past my bedtime. So, I created a Boudoir Blend – a sexy, nighttime blend of tea perfect for sipping in your boudoir before bedtime.! You can check it out or even buy some for yourself if you feel so inclined. I do not get a percentage of the profits. This was just for me but thought I would share. Let me know if you try it! Or if you try any other blend from this company!

***Update***

Just read that each time anyone purchases my BOUDOIR BLEND I will receive 10 frequent cup points! Woohoo!

What’s Sexy Now | Las Vegas Boudoir

whats-sexy-now

So excited about this installment of What’s Sexy Now! This month we are featuring the lovely Charlotte Mills of Plum Pretty Sugar Loungerie.  She just launched a brand spankin’ new redesign of her website, so be sure to check it out here.

Charlotte’s Bio:

Fashion and home has been a little bit prettier since Charlotte Mills introduced Plum Pretty Sugar Loungerie in 2009.

Borne from the idea of breezy happiness, cozy comfort and easy-living chic, Charlotte has re-invented loungewear and has made it loungerie. “Imagined in dreams,” says Charlotte, “Plum Pretty Sugar is soft, feminine, giftable… in sweet silhouettes from whisper-soft fabric in enchanting garden of eden-inspired palettes.”

Charlotte was born in the UK before moving to sunny Southern California as a little girl. She studied at Pepperdine and USC for Communication and Business while also acquiring a degree in Fashion Merchandising. She entered the world of business corporately before beginning her own wholesale luxury beauty business alongside a brick and mortar boutique.

Q & A with Charlotte::

Why and when did you start Plum Pretty Sugar? Plum Pretty Sugar Loungerie lived in my heart for some time before pouring out and over. It was a journey of sorts… a mutation of lessons learned, life changes, heartbreak and inspiration. Like a dream I pieced together in order to find my path, my truth. Throughout this there was this idea of how I wanted to feel… the carefree-ness of breezy happiness, of cozy comfort and with an ease of living beautifully, inspired and with heart. From there came Plum Pretty Sugar.

Where do you get your inspiration from? The idea of inspiration is so interesting me… the deep down feeling of what inspires me and not someone else. I suppose it is that sort of eclectic thinking that moves me. And so to be moved… gosh… it is color, especially in dreams, art, nature. Night-blooming flowers, fashion photography or just a feeling that bubbles up.

Who is your ideal buyer? I like to think that Plum Pretty Sugar speaks to most women. And while not every woman sees the same thing, I think that most find it spirited, heart-full, feminine, maybe bohemian, maybe ethnic, Parisian, Moroccan, island-inspired, maybe 70s hippie-luxe, maybe 60s glam … whatever the case, I hope there is something in it for most. Something that moves them, touches them, lifts their spirits.

Comments Charlotte, “This brand is in the vibration of my heart.”

Awake to dream… as she often says.

What makes a woman sexy? I think there is truth to the idea is that sexiness comes from the inside. The way a woman moves, a look, a certain je ne sais quoi that isn’t necessarily identifiable… a vibration, a feeling that is somehow exuded. That said, I think there is also the dressing of a woman so to speak. The moment in between overly done and undone.

Famous female that most embodies sexy to you. Brigitte Bardot comes up often when we speak about sexiness at Plum Pretty Sugar. Beauty that is pretty, soft, somehow natural without being enticed, made, dramatic.

Favorite sexy film or literature (or both) I’m such a big fan of Anais Nin.The poetry, the sensibility, And goodness… Henry and June!

Song or Album that never fails to put you in a sexy mood. I think this is really something personal but I can say at a recent photo shoot we played a ton of Robin Thicke!

Fashion trend, item or designer collection that you find sexy Lately I have found myself loving L’Wren Scott and British designer, Jenny Packard. We actually recently blogged about them both at Plum Pretty Sugar {Between the Seams} www.plumprettysugar.blogspot.com. I think both really exude that beautiful exquisite sexiness that is played out not in the length of a skirt or the height of a heel but in the drape of a fabric along a body angle, a silhouette that lends more to what is covered than what isn’t.

Sexy destination Oh my! I think sexiness is in keeping that secret. The idea of something sweet, amazing between two people. That intimacy, emotional intimacy.

What makes you feel sexy? I’m a lover of high heels. And I mean HIGH heels

San Francisco, here I come! | Las Vegas Boudoir

“No city invites the heart to come to life as San Francisco does. Arrival in San Francisco is an experience in living.” ~William Saroyan

I will be away from the office from Saturday until next Wednesday because I am heading for San Francisco!!! Sooo thrilled to be going back to this lovely city! Joe will be attending a conference there that will keep him occupied from around 7am – 7pm everyday. I pretty much begged him to bring me with him even though I will be spending most of my time there alone. I honestly don’t usually do so well in situations on my own like that but I am actually welcoming the adventure this time! I experienced Milan, Italy under the exact same circumstances many years ago, and found it to be one of the most amazing experiences of my entire life. When you are exploring a new city alone, you get to know it a bit more in depth on your own terms…kinda nice! I have already plotted out some of the things I can do in or around the Union Square area that are all accessible by foot. Really excited!

Some of the things I am hoping to do:

MOMA (Museum of Modern Art) – this is an absolute must for me! If I chicken out on doing anything else by myself I am still going to make sure I do this one for sure.

Lunch or dinner at a few French style cafes such as Cafe Claude or Chez Papa

Sushi at Sanraku and maybe Akiko’s

Of course I have to stop at the local LUSH to stock up on a couple of goodies for my time there!

It would be great if we can see Cat on a Hot Tin Roof while we are there!

Sunday’s a Drag Brunch at Harry Denton’s Starlight Room sounds pretty interesting too!

Happy Hour at Fifth Floor Restaurant perhaps?

A Thai massage at Suchada would be pretty fantastic!

Or maybe a Parafango Treatment from the Burke Williams Spa?

But, alas I will most likely pay a visit to the local Border’s book shop when I first arrive to get some books I haven’t had the time to read while I am in Vegas working on other things. Yes, sadly, I will probably be spending the majority of my time in the hotel room (hope it has a great view!) reading & working on business ideas and using the hotel gym while I am in this fair city this time.

I’ve already seen a lot of the typical San Fran attractions – walked the Golden Gate Bridge, went to the Fisherman’s Wharf, went down the zigzagy road, etc. So my idea of exploring only a few blocks should really be a breeze, if I muster up the courage to do it!

What are some of your favorite San Francisco attractions? Are there any other things in the Union Square area that I shouldn’t miss out on seeing or doing?
