Cosmetics - What I’m Liking Right Now
I have been using eyeliner pencil for so many years that I had forgotten how much I loved a good liquid eyeliner. I recently bought one in black by Colorstay Revlon and am loving how quick and easy it is to use! I no longer have to set my pencil eyeliner with eyeshadow, so that saves me a step! M•A•C Pigments are always fun for eyeshadow and they last so long! And if you haven’t tried TARTE blush yet, you must give it a go! It gives your skin a healthy, slightly more dewy glow than powder blush could. And finally, I was addicted to volumizing mascaras until I tried Flawless Definition by Bare Escentuals. I was so tired of the big brush trend with volumizing mascaras and am relieved to be using a smaller brush again. And my lashes look perfectly defined, a bit glossy and never clumpy!
What are your favorite cosmetics right now?
Lashes for your Boudoir Shoot
My absolute favorite accessory (I know I have mentioned this before) for your boudoir shoot is fake lashes. Lashes combined with a smoky eyeshadow and dark eyeliner adds so much to your look! When shopping for lashes for a photo shoot, remember that you want them to be more dramatic than what you would normally wear, so skip over the more natural looking ones and go for some them are a little longer, thicker and maybe spikier but not too theatrical. I thought the Ardell Fashion Lashes #116 (pictured) were quite nice. They could be a little bit thicker and less sparse, but they would still look really good. The idea is to make your eyes really stand out in your pictures, and these will help for sure!
Inexpensive Jewelry Ideas for your Boudoir Shoot
Looking to get last minute, inexpensive jewelry for your boudoir shoot? Look no further than Forever 21. They have lots of fun and funky pieces.
Style: Hair Accessories for your Boudoir Photo Session
I am loving these feather hair accessories by Haute Bride. I’ve begun noticing a trend with women wearing a flower in their hair more often (saw this a few times at TAO Beach recently…cute accessory to go with a bikini!). Bring a pretty hair ornament to your boudoir shoot for a fun, quick way to add some drama to one of your ‘looks’.
How French Women Define Beauty
Feeling beautiful from the inside-out is the goal for French women. They take very good care of their skin and never skimp on pretty lingerie. See for yourself on this video from Oprah.com.

Setting Myself Apart from the Pack
When I started this blog I had a decision to make - do I want to keep it strictly boudoir photos like every other photographer was doing or do I want to offer insights into my personal life as well as styling ideas? I decided to offer a little bit of everything. The reason for this was that I wanted to show a glimpse of who I am on my blog. I think the relationship between photographer and client is so important so I wanted you to be able to get to know me a little better before choosing me to do your intimate photos. I also wanted to be able to give you enough tips to have a successful shoot, whether you come to me or ultimately decide on another photographer. It is my love for Boudoir that made me do it.
So, dear readers, do you enjoy my blog entries that offer advice, style ideas or a look into my personal life? It was a hard decision to make since other photographers were sticking strictly to just their boudoir shoots, but that meant they weren’t updating regularly. Although I am starting to notice other boudoir photographers are starting to offer more advice etc too all of a sudden. I personally, liked setting myself apart from the pack and hope that you do too, so I can continue to post things that I think are of value to those considering a boudoir shoot.
You also may have noticed that I decided to go against the grain when it came time to design my website. I didn’t go with the standard photography template that you see others using. Again, a tough decision, but I think it was a good one. What do you think?

Old Hollywood Glamour - Lingerie-Style
We love how some of today’s lingerie styles evoke the sophistication and glamour of old Hollywood! It seems like many contemporary designers are trying to recapture the essence of lingerie in its heyday, and they are doing so with some very fun results. Retro styles are certainly in ‘comeback’ mode, particularly with the high-waist panties and contrast-seamed stockings. We especially love the look of a beautiful satin robe with ostrich feather trim - the ultimate in decadence!
Some designers that we carry in our boutique (Faire Frou Frou) do a wonderful job with the retro look: Fifi Chachnil, Miss Lala Presents, and Made by Niki. Now you can create your own glamorous lingerie ensemble! Have fun!
Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
How much fun is this? I absolutely love Victoria’s Secret fashion shows. So full of girly inspiration. I don’t know about you, but it makes me want to go work out immediately! Full of lingerie goodness and check out all the cool accessories…

Jewelry Box
One of the effects for me of shooting boudoir photography, has been a sudden interest in accessories…specifically jewelry. I see how much it adds to the imagery and adds to the personality of a woman in general. I am now under the realization that I very much need a jewelry box. What are you ladies using to store your jewelry?
Another fun Boudoir Shoot Look
As I have said before, accessories are EVERYTHING in photo shoots. Just look how the right belt, jewelry & shoes can transform even the simplest camisole & panty set!
Haute Hobo!
OMG this is such a fun bag with such an edge to it. I think I am a little obsessed with stud detailing at the moment! The size would be great for lugging my camera around, that’s for sure.
