Vegas Boudoir Suite Shoot - Mrs A
Mrs A was planning a trip to Vegas with her husband who was coming to town for a business trip and decided it might be fun to schedule a boudoir shoot with me while her husband was away at his conference. I couldn’t agree more! What a unique and fun thing to do while in Vegas!
I arrived at Mrs A’s suite with Kat and Whitney of Hera Beauty who did an amazing job with her hair and makeup!
Mrs A was one of the most delightful individuals I have ever come across. She had a way about her that made everyone around her light up and she was absolutely GORGEOUS! She had true southern charm and the sweetest accent! Thanks Mrs A for a fun, girly afternoon!
Here are a few shots of Kat and Whitney in action. Mrs A got the full star treatment with these two. Great job Hera Beauty!

San Gennaro Feast - Las Vegas
Looking for something to do in Vegas this weekend? This looks like a lot of fun to me!
It’s time to celebrate Italian heritage, and this year’s San Gennaro Feast promises to be one of the most varied—and delicious—yet. The fun starts Wednesday May 6 and runs through Sunday May 10. There will be a huge number of ethnic food vendors, live performances, carnival rides and games. Go ahead—pretend you’re doing it for the family. We know you’re really going for the sausage and peppers.
Where: Flamingo and 215
Cost: Free - $7
Age limit: All ages

Dream a Little Dream
Many of you may have noticed that my blog has been turning in a different direction…more oriented towards Boudoir Photography. Why might this be? Well, I have finally decided what I want to be when I grow up!
In all seriousness, last August I was laid off from my job as a graphic designer, thrown into the cold in the worst job market fathomable. While I began slipping into a depression at first, I quickly roused myself out of the darkness in search of my own personal light. I decided that being laid off was an opportunity to rediscover myself and what I most wanted to do professionally. I also found that any negativity wasn’t helping at all and that I needed to remain positive in order for good things to begin coming my way. And begin to happen they did…almost immediately.
After having experimented with nature photography, product photography, portrait photography and concert photography, I became interested in boudoir photography for women (over a year ago) and shot a few boudoir sessions for friends but suddenly I began getting calls from perfect strangers asking about my boudoir services. With each new session I surprised even myself at how much I was growing, learning and gaining confidence as a professional photographer! And with each new client came another referral after they heard what a great experience their friend had and after seeing the resulting images from their shoots. That is when I had my ‘a-ha’ moment that I might be able to support myself doing what I love!
I have been working very hard (with Joe, who is doing so very much to help make my dreams come true) on the new website, this new blog, new marketing materials and the new name for my new photography business (Haute Shots) focusing on boudoir! I am super excited about this and really hope that it will do well.
Thank you to everyone…family, friends & CLIENTS (you ladies ROCK!) who have helped make this a possibility!

Family Fun
Such a great day yesterday! My entire family (my son Austin and my mother Judy), along with Joe and his daughter, Brittany, headed out to the Red Rock area for a picnic at Spring Mountain Ranch. We toured a ranch owned by Howard Hughes after our lunch, then headed to Bonnie Springs/Old Nevada for some wild west fun!

Epicurean Affair
Another annual Vegas event I have always wanted to check out, but haven’t is the Epicurean Affair, held this year at The Flamingo on Thursday, April 23rd.

Speaking of The Flamingo, have you seen their fairly newish GO Rooms? Swanky! reasonably priced, too!

UNLVino

UNLV’s annual UNLVino is fast approaching. This is something I have always wanted to go to but just never got around to doing. Might have to wait another year (again). Have any of you been to this local event?
Rock the Block
I have heard some pretty great things about the new Eleven Spa over at Town Square (my favorite little shopping spot in Vegas). This event should be really nice…check it out! A great opportunity to experience a little pampering.

Dinner in the Sky
Looking for something new to do in Vegas for fun? Maybe you should try ‘Dinner in the Sky‘ (fine dining 160-180 feet in the air). It was here for a brief time over New Year’s and now it’s back! My son, Austin worked as a waiter aboard Dinner in the Sky when it was here the last time and is set to start working it again. That’s Austin wearing a bow-tie in the pics! I seriously do not know where he gets his bravery from….certainly not from me!
